In 1934, Singer
Leather Garment Company was born in Philadelphia, Pa. At its height, the company
employed 75 tailors, skilled in the manufacture of finely detailed, leather uniforms
sold both to the retail trade and to local law enforcement authorities.
In 1978, no
longer in the leather business, the company was renamed Singer Manufacturing,
Inc. By that time, the enterprise had become a reliable source of production for
many well-known New York manufacturers.
Soon thereafter,
the company chose to sell tailored clothing and accessories under the name of
Executive Apparel, Inc. and devoted its efforts to serving the needs of uniform
dealerships and distributors world-wide. This highly demanding market soon became
the staple of the well-established organization.
Today, Executive
Apparel, Inc. ®
serves thousands of
uniform manufacturers and distributors by giving immediate service and supplying
a superior product to their end-users.
With the help of
it's valuable management team and employees, Executive Apparel has evolved into a facility with the capacity to produce any number of products
designed specifically for the uniform industry. The company has developed the
ability to produce samples and small lots of high-fashion products quickly, with
much of its line produced here in the United States. The company also devotes
30,000 square feet to a highly efficient distribution center and warehousing facility
that ships hundreds of UPS packages daily and stores its large supply of garments
and raw materials. Most design work, patterns and cutting are done in-house, using
Lectra technology.
